Fireworks Questions and Local Businesses to Barbecue With for the Fourth of July
With everything going on in the world, July Fourth festivities can’t come soon enough. However, staying safe and healthy during these times is a top priority. Still, what is there to do in the Lubbock and Wolfforth areas? Check out what we at Matador Motors have figured out in the last couple days, below:
Are there Fireworks Shows in Lubbock or Wolfforth, TX?
The simple answer is: not at this time. Instead, the usual Broadway Festival that takes place every July will be rescheduled to Labor Day on September 7th. You can still enjoy recreational fireworks so long as they abide by local statutes and rules set in place. This includes keeping fireworks outside of city limits, as it is illegal and punishable by fines due to their potential to create property damage during this dry season. However, you may purchase them through the State of Texas Fireworks Sales period for the Fourth of July from June 24th to July 4th for safe use outside the city limits.
Have a Social Distance Barbecue with Local Shops!
On a more positive note, the 2020 season can still be festive and fun with a socially-distancing barbecue with family or friends. Though large events may not be a good idea, you can still meet with immediate family and friends to have your own get-together. Local businesses can help, between catering or party supplies. Plus, there are plenty of great spots to find fresh meat for a barbeque, such as:
You can support these local businesses – or others – by ordering meats and other goods from them for your local large gathering!
